Our Vision is Excellence in the provision of holistic quality healthcare services as an embodiment of Christ’s Compassion and Humility.
Humble and Compassionate Service sharing in Christ’ healing mission.
In addition to medical care, our health centers offer health programs mostly educating women on health issues.
We offer healthcare to those who cannot afford the cost of treatment in different countries in Africa.
We run awareness programs to address holistic development to individuals, institutions, and organizations.
Religion plays a significant role in African societies, and as a result, our people place a great deal of trust in us. The IHM Sisters are taking a bold step by constructing and operating a state-of-the-art 250-bed hospital in Nkpor, Anambra State, Nigeria.

Our Brief History
Founded on October 7,1937 by Most Rev. Charles Heerey CSSp, the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Christ, (IHM) is a Women Religious Institute of Pontifical Right with its foundation in Nigeria.
From its humble beginnings in the Vicariate of Southern, Nigeria, the Institute has spread its missionary work to 15 countries of the world in three continents- Africa, Europe, and North America.
IHM Sisters seek to offer compassionate and holistic healthcare to persons afflicted with disease. All of our hospitals and maternities are not-for-profit agencies.
